I was already a fan of Labyrinth and the work that they have done, but this solidifies this and leaves me curious to see where they go next. From the projection to the stylised finish, there is no denying the effort, thought and passion that has gone into this project.

And That Was That
Gary Clarke's Detention is a moving and captivating piece of dance based on the queer experience of 1980s Britain under Section 28. Over the span of ninety minutes, a series of scenes bring to life different experiences from different age groups, stitching together a comprehensive picture of the times.
Why Do You Think I Followed You In Here?
Matt Anderson's Shotgunned is an hour long rollercoaster through a relationship, from the meeting to the parting, with a heart wrenching miscarriage as its centrepiece. Told non-chronologically, the significance of plot points unravel slowly, allowing audiences to connect the dots while not giving anything away immediately.
Times Change
On the whole, this is a show which centres on community and enjoyment, the team coming together to collaborate on a project for the sheer joy of it. It's always nice to see actors of any calibre truly having fun when performing and this was clear to see here.
One Spring Day
I would argue that one man shows and radio play adaptations are two of the most challenging and marmite choices in the industry. In the case of Guy Masterson's new rendition of Under Milkwood, is a wonderful journey into a snapshot of this unique Welsh community.
All For One
Oxford Playhouse is currently playing host to a younger cast than is typically found upon the stage, with Magdalen College School descending upon the space to bring to life the world of Dumas' musketeers. Filled with humour, singing and action, this is a performance well worth turning your attention towards...
Emotion. Connection. Growth
Half art installation, half two-hander, Natascha Norton's new play Crocodile Tears presents the fractured world of a broken relationship through the mediums of theatre and cinema. Through this strange blending of mediums the audience is allowed to gain an insight into a relationship, piecing together the story little by little.
Dressed In My Name
This is of the short and sweet variety of garden plays, leaning into the whimsey and literary history existing within the hallowed walls of Merton College. Entering into the familiar discourse of women in classical times, this play is not too politically minded.
All The Dead Men
Unfortunately there are some moments within the play where one is inclined to argue that the translation needs a little more work. It's a pity that the script itself falters at times, as I can't help but wonder how the play may have been different with some structural edits.
Good Evening My Fellow Citizens
Was this the sort of show that I could see having a life at Fringe? Absolutely! Watching the final night of the short run did not feel like the end, but rather the end of the first chapter in this musical's journey. For now, colour me impressed.
