No matter the medium, all creatives are simply seeking to capture the world around them! For me this is primarily done through photography, my camera typically being found in my bag as I explore the world. While I began my photography journey through photographing landscapes and heritage properties over six years ago, I have now shifted to mostly people based shoots. These shoots are either performance or portrait based. I began my performance photography journey in 2023, photographing friends’ university shows for free or as part of marketing roles. Since then I have branched out into portrait work and completing university coincided with taking the leap into charging for my work. I love the feeling of becoming immersed in an environment, whether that be theatre or portrait work, and gaining a knowledge of the visual style someone is looking for. Photography and editing are highlights of my week, but it is the reactions I receive from clients which make the whole experience feel magical. To be able to create photographs which provide confidence or joy is such a special feeling.
